Terms & Conditions

Key Details

These terms apply to your purchase of the “Legal Leverage” programme, with Jamieson Law Ireland Limited, a company registered in the Republic of Ireland under company number 686804, with registered office at Cushenstown, Garristown, Meath, Ireland (“JL”). These terms cannot be varied and in proceeding to purchase a place on Legal Leverage you are deemed to have accepted these terms. These terms and conditions apply to the services offered by JL and Legal Leverage. Please read them carefully as they affect your rights and liabilities under law and set out the terms under which JL (“we”, “our'' or “us”) provides services to you, as purchaser of Legal Leverage.

Intellectual Property 

During your time as a participant, you will be provided with Legal Leverage materials. At all times the intellectual property rights and copyrights connected with those materials remain with us. You have the right to use the materials as learning tools but you are not permitted to duplicate, assign, sell, sub-license, modify or provide copies to third parties, for any purpose whatsoever. We retain and reserve our copyrights at all times and nothing in these terms shall transfer our intellectual property rights to you or to any third party.

Tell me about Legal Leverage...

Legal Leverage is designed to prime you and your business, to prevent and protect you against doubt, and to allow your success to stick. 

Legal Leverage lasts for 9 weeks, followed by a months’ free “Membership”, after which time these terms will automatically come to an end. The Membership is covered by separate terms and conditions, available on our website.

As part of the Legal Leverage, you will receive:

  • 9 live drop-in clinics, Q&A accountability sessions, where we will be on hand to answer your questions in our Facebook group ‘Legal Leverage - course team 2022’
  • Lifetime access to replays of the live drop-in clinics
  • Lifetime access to our pre-recorded training videos 
  • Lifetime access to our business checklists, to keep you on track and provide a reference point
  • Lifetime access to our Legal Leverage content, such as our slide decks and course materials
  • ‘Craft Your Contract Sessions’, where we will help you write one contract for your business
  • Access to our exclusive members only Facebook Group 
  • Website legal documents templates (terms and conditions and privacy and cookies policy
  • Lifetime access to our ‘Time to Trademark: DIY’ product.

The Legal Leverage schedule, including dates, are available on our website and we will send you to you via email following purchase. 

Signing up to Legal Leverage

When you sign up to Legal Leverage, you will be asked to enter your name and email address, and then taken to a payment page to purchase access to Legal Leverage. We recommend that you read the terms and conditions and privacy policy of the third party payment provider (currently Stripe and ThriveCart) before making payment. 

Our fees for Legal Leverage are £997, which can be paid up front or in three installments (one of £450 and two of £273.50 each). 

We offer an early bird discount - if you pay within 24 hours of the launch date, you will be eligible for a £50 discount. Our discounted fee is £947, which can be paid up front or in three installments (one of £400 and two of £273.50 each). 

All monthly payments will be taken from the original payment card 30 days after the initial payment is made, and will continue to be taken on the same date each month until the full balance has been paid.

Payment plans are not provision of services on a monthly basis. This means that when you agree to these terms, you commit to paying the full price of Legal Leverage, as selected by you, and the payment plan is provided simply to allow this to be more affordable.

If you are fail to make payment on time, we will suspend your access to Legal Leverage and the benefits it includes, and we reserve the right to charge interest at a rate of 5% per annum above the Bank of England base rate, from time to time, accruing daily, until paid in full. We also reserve the right to refer any arrears to a third party debt collection agency and to pass on the associated costs to you. 

Consumer Rights

Legal Leverage is provided to you as a business customer, operating by way of trade, business or profession. This means that the usual consumer rights don’t apply and all sales are final. Once you have signed up to Legal Leverage, there is no entitlement to change your mind and receive a refund for sums paid.

Behaviour

Your behaviour towards others must at all times be polite and respectful. We will not be held responsible for the behaviour or actions of any participants. Should your behaviour be deemed offensive or inappropriate, whether during the Course or within the exclusive Facebook group, we reserve the right to remove you from Legal Leverage and the Facebook group with immediate effect and you will not be entitled to a refund.

We are not responsible for the views or opinions shared by others. We ask that all Legal Leverage respect the rights of others in respect of their behaviour, confidentiality and privacy. We will not be responsible for the action of any participants including for any disclosures made by any participants based on information which has been shared during Legal Leverage.

Disclaimers

By participating in Legal Leverage, you understand and acknowledge that there is no solicitor-client relationship created. Solicitor-client relationships can only be formed after you have received our terms of service, and we have agreed to act for you for specific legal services.

Barbara Jamieson is licensed to provide legal advice in England and Wales, Ireland, Scotland, New York and California, and you must enter into a separate, legally binding agreement before any solicitor-client relationship is formed.  

We make no guarantees or claims as to the success of any participant. Each individual is unique, as is the commitment they make to themselves to apply the lessons into their life and in their business. The aim is that by working through the training and resources and taking advantage of all of the elements which Legal Leverage has to offer, you will have new information, awareness and tools to create change in your business. We are not responsible for any outcomes you do or do not achieve through your participation in Legal Leverage.

We do not make any guarantees of future earnings, profits or results. You are entirely responsible for your own results.

All information provided will be general information and guidance and will not be bespoke advice. We are not responsible for any action or inaction which you take as a result of the information provided during Legal Leverage

No content in Legal Leverage should be construed as financial advice. If you require this advice, please speak to an independent professional.

The documents provided to you as part of Legal Leverage, such as the privacy policy, will be in line with legislation at the time. However, you should be aware that changes in legislation may cause the contracts to become out of date. You should therefore regularly check your documents to ensure they remain accurate.

Contact and Schedule

It is the intention that Legal Leverage will be provided in accordance with the agreed schedule. Should an unforeseen reason arise which causes a session(s) to be postponed, they will be rearranged as soon as possible. 

If you have any issues during Legal Leverage and need to contact us, please do so using the details provided within Legal Leverage, and we will get back to you as soon as we can.

You may see us post on social media outside of our core hours of Mon-Fri 9-5pm GMT. Not all of these posts are live and some will be pre-scheduled. We are passionate about supporting everyone in Legal Leverage and, where we can, we might respond to you out of hours, but we make no guarantees that this will always be possible and we’re not liable to you for any delays in our responses.

Privacy and Confidentiality

Your privacy and protection of your personal data is important to us. Your personal data is protected as set out in our privacy policy which can be found here. 

During Legal Leverage, you may have access to confidential information, in particular the personal affairs of others participants. In accepting these terms, you agree that you will not use or disclose to any person, organisation or company, and shall use your best endeavours to prevent the publication of any confidential information relating to any other participant.  

You accept that any unauthorised disclosure of personal or confidential information belonging to another may amount to immediate dismissal from Legal Leverage. Should you decide to leave Legal Leverage, then you remain bound by the confidentiality and privacy obligations.

Our Liability

We do not warrant that you will have access to all Legal Leverage material at all times, that your access will be uninterrupted or that it will be error free.

Our liability under these terms is limited to the fees payable by you for Legal Leverage.

We are not liable for indirect, consequential or special loss arising under or in relation to these terms and conditions.

Nothing in these terms and conditions shall exclude or limit our liability at law for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Where an event occurs that is outside our control, we will do our best to manage this. However, it may prevent us from providing certain parts of Legal Leverage to you, and we will not be liable for this failure.

General
We intend to rely on the written terms set out in these terms and conditions for the services that we provide to you in delivery of Legal Leverage. These written terms and conditions constitute the entire agreement between us.

Should there be any conflict between these terms and conditions and any hosting platform or payment gateway, these terms shall prevail. 

We may update these terms and conditions from time to time. Where we do so, the updated terms and conditions will apply to you. Please check back regularly to ensure you are aware of the most current terms and conditions that apply to Legal Leverage.

If any provision or part-provision of these terms and conditions is or becomes invalid, illegal or unenforceable, it shall be deemed modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid, legal and enforceable. If such modification is not possible, the relevant provision or part-provision shall be deemed deleted. Any such modification or deletion shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the rest of these terms and conditions.

These terms and conditions, and any non-contractual obligations arising hereunder, are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ireland. The Irish courts have exclusive jurisdiction over any matter and proceedings arising out of Legal Leverage or these terms.
